About Beth...

Beth Duewel is one of a kind. She has a unique gift of finding God’s goodness in the thick of life’s calamities. Her contagious laughter and quirky glimpses at life make her a great pick for any women’s gathering. And we all know how we women like to gather. She admits she has made some of her best friendships in the women’s restroom.

Before her youngest daughter was born, Beth worked for twelve years at a psychiatric hospital as a Certified Recreational Therapist/ Drug and Alcohol Counselor. Talk about communicating hope and healing in a hurting world.

A Christian since 1988, Beth is humbled by God’s ability to give purpose to passion. She writes for The Heartbeat, Grace Focus, and is a regular contributor to Proverbs 31 Woman Magazine. She is contributing author to such books as Cup of Comfort for Women, Cup of Comfort Women of the Bible (Adams Publishing), and Soulfood Project for Women (Tyndale) due out in winter of 2007.

In addition to writing, Beth loves to travel and speak to women’s hearts. She is a graduate of She Speaksand has had the opportunity to speak at several Amusing Grace Conferences with well known authors such as Rhonda Rhea and Virelle Kidder. Ohhh…Awww.

Although, she finds her greatest joy stems from being a wife and mom of three. Living in Ashland Ohio she and her husband have been members of a bible-based church for fourteen years where she has had the privilege of serving in children's ministry, and as a women's ministry leader.
